18 Weeks~Sweet Potato

"Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon."

Well, all of this is true except that I feel all of those movements now! The other day Robbie and I were on the couch watching T.V. and I actually jumped up and gasped because the baby kicked me so hard! Robbie thought there was something wrong, but the babe just startled me. It probably wasn't even that hard of a kick. I'm just not used to that feeling yet. LOL! I love it though. I'm glad my baby is so active. It's reassuring that everything is going okay in there.

As I stated in my previous blog my boobs are HUGE! Well, huge for me anyway. I'm used to being a B cup not a C. I'm okay with that, but if I become a D cup I'm going to cry. That's a little too big. I think my back would break. LOL!

I have a lot more energy than I did in my first trimester. It's so nice not to feel sick and drained on a daily basis. I still feel that I need to go to bed by 10:00 every night or I can't function the next day, but at least I'm not dozing off at my desk anymore.

The big ultrasound is in 11 days! It's getting so close! I know you guys hear this from me constantly, but I really can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl. Then I can stop calling the baby "it" and call it "he" or "she". LOL! Thanks for reading everyone. =)

Holy Boobies, Batman!

Okay, so I have officially grown out of all of my pre-pregnancy bras so I went to Victoria's Secret to get some new ones. I had one of the sales women measure me because I had no idea what size to get and guess what...I am now a 36C!!! You know what I was before? I was a 34B!!!

I couldn't believe it so I got one of their 36C bras to try on. It fit perfectly! If I've grown one full cup size not even halfway through my pregnancy I can't imagine what they are going to be like when I'm full term. They still haven't stopped growing! Holy shit, someone help me.

17 Weeks~Onion

"Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints."

I am 17 weeks pregnant today and my little one is the size of an onion. Baby is growing so big, so fast! I went to Motherhood Maternity today and bought maternity clothes for the first time. I got some cute shirts that will be good now and through my pregnancy. I also got some maternity pants and some of those tummy wraps. They had some cocoa butter oil there that is supposed to help with my itchy skin so I snagged that too. LOL!

I can feel my baby move more frequently now. It's usually while I'm lying down, or eating actually. LOL! Robbie wants the babe to get bigger and kick harder so he can start feeling the movement too. I have a feeling that will be fairly soon. I've been experiencing ligament pulling as my belly grows and expands to accommodate my growing baby. It's pretty painful to be honest. I find the only relief I can get is from a warm bath. I think the tub is calling my name now. Ha ha!

18 more days until I find out the sex! It's getting closer, but it still seems so far away. I want to know so that I can start thinking about how I want to decorate the nursery and what kinds of clothes and toys to buy my little one. I don't know how some people wait until they have the baby to find out. The anticipation is killing me!

16 Week Bump

Here is my 16 week baby bump. As I said in my previous blog, I don't think it has changed much from my 12 week bump, but it is here nonetheless. =)

16 Weeks~Avocado

"Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender."

Okay, so I won't be officially 16 weeks preggo till tomorrow, but we won't have our Internet installed until this weekend, or whenever Robbie decides to get it up and running. So I decided to post my weekly update early, while I'm supposed to be working. =)

I can't believe my little avocado can hear me now! LOL! Robbie and I have been talking to the baby, but now it can actually hear what we are saying. It's so exciting. I'll get a 16 week picture up soon. Although I don't think my belly has changed much from my 12 week pic to be honest. I keep wondering when I'm going to pop. LOL!

26 more days till I find out the sex! That seems so far away, but Robbie doesn't want to spend the extra money at Fetal Fotos to find out early. =( Oh, well. I'll find out soon enough I guess. I have a feeling it's a girl. We'll see if I'm right. ;)

I'm still soooooo tired constantly. I would sleep 20 hours a day if I could, but my stomach is a little less sensitive now. I just know to stay away from the foods that I KNOW for sure will send me running for the bathroom. Some of the new symptoms I've developed are a stuffy nose and itchy skin. Apparently that's really common, but it's driving me crazy! I hope that won't last for too long.

I'll continue to keep you guys updated and post a new pic of belly soon. Thanks for reading.

New House

So, we have everything moved into our new house. We turned in our apartment keys on Saturday. I love our new home tons although it seems gigantic to me. I guess that is to be expected when you move from a one bedroom apartment to a 1,900 square foot house.

We spent all of Saturday moving, so we just relaxed and had a lazy Sunday yesterday. Our neighborhood is really peaceful and quiet. There are no neighbors across the street either. Just a field with some horses grazing. I love our little country home. LOL!

I don't know anyone out here with the exception of my in-laws though. I still come to Salt Lake everyday to go to work, but I'm afraid I'm going to get lonely. I joined a couple of groups on CafeMom.com to find some other mommies-to-be in the area so that I can find someone to talk to out here. That's really the only concern I have. I really like it in Tooele so far.

15 Weeks~Naval Orange

"Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements."

Stupid Nurses

So, once again I worried over nothing. I went to my doctors appointment today anxious and worrying about the colposcopy and I didn't even end up having the procedure done! My doctor told me that I do have HPV cells on my cervix, but the type of HPV I have is really, really low risk. She said it's basically like my cervix has a cold. Since it is so mild my doctor decided against doing any invasive procedures like the colposcopy while I'm pregnant. She said it's not worth the risk.

She said that she is going to give me another pap smear six weeks after I have my baby just to make sure everything is okay. If it's not, then they will look into doing some procedures. She said it should come up normal though. Apparently this type of HPV usually goes away on its own. Stupid nurses. They got me all worried and freaked out over something that turned out to be nothing. I'm really grateful though. It could have been lots worse.

On another happy note, I got to hear my baby's heartbeat again! It's slowed down to about 148 BPM since he or she is getting bigger. I get to find out if I'm having a baby boy, or a baby girl on April 8th. I'll be 19 and 1/2 weeks preggo at that time. I can't wait to find out! I'm still debating on going to Fetal Fotos at 17 weeks because I am so impatient. LOL!

In a nutshell, everything is just fine. Baby and I are doing great and I couldn't be happier. =)

I'm A Homeowner!

I just thought I would let all of you know that I am officially a homeowner now! YAY!!! The closing went really well yesterday. There were no problems at all and we got the keys to our house today. We will be moving in on Saturday. I am so happy I can hardly stand it! No more one bedroom apartment...Woo hoo! =)
